We are proud to share exciting news: Santa Clara Golf Marbella has won the 26th edition of the Pro-Am Costa del Golf Turismo, one of the most prestigious industry events on the Costa del Sol golf calendar. And as we celebrate our 25th anniversary in 2025.

This milestone victory marks not only a celebration of sporting excellence but also a symbol of our ongoing commitment to the golf community, tourism, and the continued growth of golf in the region.

A milestone victory during a landmark year

The 2025 edition of the Pro-Am was held at the spectacular Villapadierna Golf Club, gathering top professionals and golf industry leaders from across the Costa del Sol. Our team emerged victorious with 37 points, securing first place ahead of Río Real Golf (34 points) and Torrequebrada Golf (33 points).

This is our third win in 5 years. Winning this prestigious event during our 25th anniversary year is incredibly meaningful. It’s a reflection of two and a half decades of dedication to excellence, sustainability, hospitality, and passion for the sport.

Santa Clara Golf Marbella to host the XXVII Pro-Am

The best part? We’re just getting started. The winner is set to be the host for next year’s event but, since we are committed to celebrate our partners achievements, we’re honored to announce that Torrequebrada Golf will be the host venue for the 2026 Pro-Am Costa del Golf Turismo to celebrate their 50th anniversary, continuing the legacy of bringing together professionals, clubs, institutions, and media under one shared passion: golf on the Costa del Sol.

Costa del Sol: Europe’s Leading Golf Destination

During the event’s closing ceremony, Esperanza González, CEO of Turismo Costa del Sol, highlighted the tournament’s strategic value as a hub for collaboration across the golf sector. She emphasized the economic and social impact of golf in the region — an industry that generates over €1.4 billion annually and supports more than 17,700 jobs.

Her remarks were supported by recent accolades: Costa del Sol was named Europe’s Best Golf Destination for 2025 by IAGTO, reaffirming its position as a global leader in golf tourism. With 70 golf courses, the region represents 67% of Andalusia’s golf offering, a testament to the area’s unparalleled infrastructure and appeal.

This was also a moment to recognize outstanding individuals in the sport. A special tribute was paid to Ángel Hidalgo, a beloved professional who has played a vital role in elevating the reputation of «Costa del Golf» worldwide. His dedication, talent, and sportsmanship have inspired countless players across generations.

The Pro-Am Costa del Golf Turismo continues to shine as a symbol of public-private collaboration in tourism and sport. It brings together organizations such as Turismo Costa del Sol, Real Federación Andaluza de Golf, Turismo de Marbella, Turismo de Benahavís, and key industry sponsors like Coca-Cola, Cerveza Victoria, Rives, Holiday Golf, Golf Circus, and Teeone.golf.
